Tea Party

I had such a fun afternoon, this weekend, at a stunning garden tea party. What was completely amazing for me was that I knew all the ladies who had been part of making this wonderful event happen, from the decor, baking and organising to the hosting and speaking . It just made me realise that I have some very talented and gifted friends.

The amount of beautifully made cakes, scone, sandwiches and treats that filled the tables, looked like a food magazine had come to life. The whole thing felt magical, like I had stepped through the looking-glass and landed in a world fit for a princess. Each place setting had its own unique antique teacup and saucer with matching plate and was accompanied by a modern twist with a bottle of pink elderflower, complete with striped straw. The attention to detail was unreal. There was a wide selection of different teas to choose from and each were displayed in a different way. My favourite were the teabags that were pegged up in frames. The food tables, as I have mentioned before, looked amazing. I tasted the most delicious cheese cake and chocolate cupcakes. But I also really enjoyed the savoury treats. There were some mouth-watering salmon swirls, which I was so pleased to see had not all been eaten when I went back for seconds! I also really enjoyed the spinach and feta rolls. On the healthy side there were some fun fruit kebabs, resembling giant lollipops, which made my inner child smile in delight. Here are some of my favourite photos:

Thank you to all the wonderful woman (and men who pitched the tents) who made this tea such a wonderful and successful event! I look forward to next year!
